    Day 1 –Arrive Guwahati – Shillong

    Upon arrival at Guwahati airport or railway station, transfer to Shillong with a stop en route to visit Umiam Lake. Nestled among rolling pine-covered hills, Shillong was the first capital of Meghalaya and enjoys a milder climate than tropical India. The city, situated at 1,496 meters above sea level, is home to around 270,000 people and is famed for its waterfalls, scenic beauty, and British-era architectural and cultural influences.
